Are You Prepared to Tackle Spring Allergies Before They Hit?

Every year millions of people suffer from itchy eyes, sneezing, watery noses, scratchy throats, and extra tiredness. And yes, I was one of them. Until I started exploring herbs, supplements, and anything I could do keep my eyes from popping out of my head, I was miserable when spring came around. Sometimes the perscription allergy medicines didn’t even help enough. So, after my years of allergy research and discovering what worked for me, I’m happy to pass on the information I learned..

Get Some Quercetin I particularly like Aller-Response by Source Naturals (which includes other great herbs like Nettle for allergies), or Activated Quercetin. Quercetin works best when you start taking it before allergy season kicks in. That’s why I wanted to get this info out to you ASAP.

Clean Up Your Fuel

Yes, I’m talking about food. Foods that cause inflammation make your allergies worse. Knowing which foods you are sensitive to and then cutting them out of your diet will help your immune system and decrease inflammation. Less inflammation in the body means decreased allergy symptoms. Finding out which foods you are sensitive to is the harder part. I’m happy to help you find out your individual sensitivities, so give me a call and we’ll see if I can help.

Common foods that cause inflammation:

  • grains, especially wheat and refined grains or flours
  • dairy (goat dairy is the easiest to digest)
  • sugar
  • legumes (beans, lentils, peanuts)
  • night shades (potato, tomato, eggplant, bell pepper)

Most people are sensitive to at least one of these food groups, and many times it’s not the whole group. For example, I know I’m sensitive to wheat, but other grains are just fine for me, even though I tend to cut down on those as well.

Being aware of what causes inflammation and imbalance in your body is the most important step. After that, you have a choice, but at least you know what your options are.
